What’s the difference? Broad-spectrum vs Selective Herbicides
Broad-spectrum herbicides – These target a wide variety of weeds and plants. They’re great for clearing tough weeds but will also affect most other plants they touch.
Selective herbicides – These target specific types of plants, like broadleaf weeds in your lawn, without harming other plants nearby.
Tip: The calculator on this page is designed for broad-spectrum herbicides. If you’re using a selective herbicide, start with a smaller dose of herbicide, 50% less still at 5:1 ratio and test a small area first to protect your garden plants.
